Round Gong at Red Hills Garden in St. George

Everyone is invited to bang the gong!

WHAT: 5′ diameter double walled gong by Harry Bertoia, c. 1975. A child’s mallet and a heavy duty mallet are available to produce sounds, soft or thunderous. The gong is part of the artist’s own collection that once graced his Pennsylvania Sonambient Barn. After hiding in storage for nearly a decade, we are so pleased to have the public access this treasure.

WHERE: 375 E Red Hills Parkway, St George, Utah in the Red Hills Desert Garden near the “Dixie.”

WHEN: Anytime! Special talks and demonstrations will happen in the fall of 2025.
